The size of a pupil’s vocabulary in their early years of schooling is a significant predictor to academic attainment in later schooling and therefore of success in life. Throughout the school, we focus on a different Mrs. Wordsmith word each week to help build our pupils’ vocabulary and create a ‘word rich’ environment in the classroom.
