Nursery Session & Application

Nursery Sessions

Children will be admitted to John Wood Nursery the term after their third birthday (see below). Your child will then have access to the 15 Universal free hours Government funding for three and four year olds. We are also accepting children with access to 30 hours free childcare. Children born between:
  • 1st January and 31st March will start in April.
Places allocated and notified before February Half Term
  • 1st April to 31st August will start in September.
Places allocated and notified before May Half Term
  • 1st September to 31st December will start in January.
Places allocated and notified before October Half Term
Our opening hours are 8:40am-3:40pm. We offer Morning and Afternoon sessions charged at £7 per hour.
All nursery places are offered on either a part-time (15 hours) or full-time (30 hours) basis. A part-time place consists of 15 hours per week, typically taken as two full days and one half-day during the week.
A full-time place consists of 30 hours per week. If these hours are spread across five days, children will attend shorter days and will need to be collected one hour earlier each day.
If you would prefer your child to attend full days (8:40am–3:40pm) across five days, this will exceed the 30 funded hours. An additional 5 hours per week will be charged at £7 per hour.
We review our fees each year and will always provide advance notice of any changes. If you have any further questions, please reach out to Nursery@johnwood.cetrust.com“
